They served the Lord with The Faith Mission for 14 years in Northern Ireland, England and Scotland before Keith pastored Rathfriland Baptist Church for almost 6 years. They have two sons, Matthew and Jonathan. They have been serving with Acre since 2005. They are involved in speaking at various meetings in churches and pulpit supply as well as the every day running of the mission.
I was born in South Armagh and was sent along to a church that didn’t preach the Gospel. I’m so glad that family members took me along to Rathfriland Baptist Church as a young boy, where the seed of the Gospel was planted in my young heart. It wasn’t until moving to Banbridge and attending Banbridge Baptist Church, that as a teenager, I gave my life to Christ at a Gospel Mission conducted by the Rev Sam Workman. After being challenged by the call of God for full time service, I entered the Faith Mission Bible College in Edinburgh when I was 18 for 2 years. After graduating, I spent 4 years as an evangelist with the Faith Mission before getting married to Karen and spending another 8 years serving with the Faith Mission in the Yorkshire Dales and the East Cast of Scotland and The Shetland Isles. The Lord then called us back to Northern Ireland to take up the Pastorate of Rathfriland Baptist Church for 6 years before joining the work of Acre Gospel Mission. We are very thankful to the Lord for the opportunity to serve Him within the ranks of the mission for all these years. We have two sons Matthew and his wife Melissa & Jonathan and his wife Nicola.
I became a Christian when I was 14yrs old. Keith & I have been married for over 30 years, we have 2 grown up sons & 2 daughters in law. After training as a nurse I attended the Faith Mission Bible College in Edinburgh. That was over 30 years ago! They have been amazing years of sharing the gospel. As a Christian following my Saviour’s example I’ve always had a deep desire to share my faith with others. Since becoming a Christian I have loved the verse, Ps 16:8. Keeping the Lord always before means I can’t be shaken. Alongside my role in Acre International I work part time as a nurse in Belfast. As a nurse It’s such an amazing privilege to come alongside people when often they are at their most vulnerable. I don’t have a lot of time for hobbies but I love walking.
