I got to know Jesus at the age of 17 through several Bible studies with Pastor Elias Lima, who, at the time was working with Acre Gospel Mission. I was very interested in learning English with him, but I ended up learning the gospel that changed my whole life. This decision affected my family a lot, because they were Roman Catholics they opposed it and said that I was betraying them. However, I remained firm and two years later I was sent to the Cariri Baptist Seminary in Ceará where I studied theology and met my wife, Suzane, with whom I have been married since 2011 and have three children.

It was God's will that after my studies, I returned to the church where I was born for the gospel, the Potengi Baptist Church which I pastored for 11 years. It was with that beloved flock that God taught me to shepherd His flock, preaching every weekend, evangelizing on Saturdays, working with children, and counselling the brethren. Those were blessed times that I cherish. From there I even tried to plant a church in the city of Lajes which is 42 miles from where I lived, but the Lord had another direction for my life.

Since January 2022, God has given me the privilege of pastoring the Faith Baptist Church, in the city of Sousa, Paraíba, a country place of simple people in need of the gospel. The purpose of my coming would be to help the Church wake up to its mission – to make disciples! My family and I are very excited about the challenge God has placed in our hands to awaken the brethren to personal evangelism, plant new churches in the region, and win people to Christ.
